Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para la producción de cuerpos de grafito. Los cuerpos de carbono se forman a partir de una mezcla de partículas de coque calcinado eléctrico calcinado a una temperatura entre 1200 y 3000°C y un aglutinante en donde las partículas de coque tienen contenido de azufre y nitrógeno que varía entre O y 1.5% en peso y en donde las partículas de coque tienen un contenido de azufre promedio menor que 0.6% en peso y un contenido de nitrógeno de menos de 0.6% en peso, el horneado de los cuerpos de carbone a una temperatura entre 700 y 1400°C y la grafitización de los cuerpos de carbono horneados a una temperatura por arriba de 2300°C.
