Abstract

Se proporciona un método automatizado para caracterizar degradaciones detectadas por ecualización en un canal de una red. Se estima un esfuerzo de ecualización de una respuesta de ecualización observada de un canal de un dispositivo terminal de la red, y se calcula el esfuerzo de ecualización para una respuesta teórica de ecualización de canal del dispositivo terminal, basándose matemáticamente en la respuesta observada de ecualización del canal y una eliminación teórica de una degradación sospechada de la red. La etapa antedicha de cálculo se repita separadamente para cada una de las degradaciones sospechadas almacenadas en una base de datos de degradaciones sospechadas. Se determinan la degradación dominante sospechada más frecuente a partir de la base de datos de degradaciones sospechadas, de forma que la eliminación de la degradación dominante sospechada más frecuente de la red produzca una mayor reducción en el esfuerzo de ecualización de la respuesta de ecualización del canal del dispositivo terminal..
