Abstract
Se proporcionan sistemas y métodos para deshumidificar el aire al establecer gradientes de humedad en una o más unidades de deshumidificación. El vapor de agua de aire atmosférico relativamente húmedo que entra a las unidades de deshumidificación se extrae por las unidades de deshumidificación sin condensación sustancial en volúmenes de vacío de vapor de agua de presión baja. El vapor de agua se puede extraer a través de membranas permeables a vapor de agua de las unidades de deshumidificación en los volúmenes de vacío de vapor de agua de presión baja, reduciendo en consecuencia la humedad del aire. El vapor de agua de presión baja extraído del aire se comprime a una presión ligeramente mayor, se condensa y se remueve del sistema en condiciones ambientales. Además, cada unidad de deshumidificación se puede asociar con una o más unidades de enfriamiento evaporativo colocadas corriente arriba y/o corriente abajo. En una modalidad, las unidades de deshumidificación funcionan para reducir la relación de humedad y la temperatura a condiciones finales deseadas al aproximar iterativamente una relación de humedad ideal versus curva de temperatura.
