Abstract
Se proporciona un artículo revestido con por lo menos una capa funcional, tal como una(s) capa(s) reflejante(s) de radiación infrarroja (IR) de o que incluye(n) plata y/u oro. Una capa semilla dieléctrica y sustancialmente transparente se proporciona debajo de y haciendo contacto directamente con la capa funcional. En ciertas modalidades ejemplares, la capa semilla incluye un óxido de zinc y boro para incrementar la dureza de la capa y para mejorar de esta manera la durabilidad del recubrimiento global. La capa semilla puede incluir además aluminio y/o galio, para aumentar las propiedades eléctricas y/o reducir el estrés en el recubrimiento resultante. La capa semilla puede ser depositada por un objetivo sustancialmente metálico en presencia de oxígeno en ciertos ejemplos.
