Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una método para reducir amoniaco en una corriente, el método comprende: proporcionar una corriente que contienen amoníaco; poner en contacto la corriente que contiene armoníaco con una corriente que contiene oxígeno bajo condiciones de tratamiento efectivas para formar una primera corriente de producto, la relación de amoniaco en la corriente que contiene amoníaco a oxígeno en la corriente que contiene oxígeno es de 2.28 g de 02/g de N-NH3 (2.28g de oxígeno por gramo de nitrógeno en amoníaco) o menor; y exponer la primera corriente de producto a materia orgánica bajo condiciones de tratamiento efectivas en una relación e 0.57 g de DQO/g de N-NH3 (0.57 g de demanda química de oxígeno por gramo de nitrógeno en amoniaco) o menor para que ocurra una reducción de amoníaco, en donde se forma un licor mezclado.
