Abstract

Se divulgan una composición y proceso útil para hacer espumas de poliuretano flexibles y en particular espumas de poliuretano moldeadas flexibles. También se divulga la utilización de líquidos apróticos dipolares tales como DMSO, DM1, sulfolano, N-metil-acetoacetamida, N, N-dimetilacetoacetamida así como glicoles que contienen números de hidroxilo OH# = 1100 como auxiliares de abridor de celda para 2-cianoacetamida u otras moléculas similares que contienen grupos metileno o metino activos para hacer una espuma de poliuretano. La ventaja de utilizar auxiliares de abridor de celda da por resultado a) nada de contracción de la espuma; b) niveles de uso menores del abridor de celda; c) reproductibilidad del desempeño de la espuma; d) propiedades físicas óptimas. Además, la combinación del catalizador de amina bloqueado con ácido junto con el abridor de celda y el auxiliar de abridor de celda da por resultado una mezcla menos corrosiva, así también proporciona un método que no requiere aplastamiento mecánico para la abertura de la celda.
