Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una cepa de levadura Kluyveromyces lactis que comprende la secuencia identificada por SEQ ID NO: 1 y procedimientos de obtención de azúcares (glucosa y galactosa), etanol,ß-galactosidasa y biomasa en los que se cultiva dicha cepa de levadura Kluyveromyces lactis en presencia de un medio que comprende lactosa. El medio que comprende lactosa puede ser leche, suero lácteo, suero resultante de la preparación de mantequilla, suero resultante después de la precipitación de la caseína, permeado de leche, permeado de suero, suero ácido y medio de cultivo YPL. Una cepa de levadura Kluyveromyces lactis depositada en la Colección de Cultivos Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen und Zellkulturen GmbH (DSMZ) con el número de depósito DSM 24900, caracterizado porque comprende la secuencia identificada por SEQ ID NO: 1.
