Abstract
Un proceso para la separación de zinc a partir de una materia prima que contiene una mezcla de metales y compuestos de metal. El proceso incluye la lixiviación de una materia prima que contiene zinc con una solución básica concentrada, de manera opcional la dilución del lodo con una cantidad de agua suficiente para reducir la viscosidad del lodo lo que de este modo facilita la separación de un líquido impregnante que contiene zinc disuelto a partir de materiales insolubles, la separación de los materiales insolubles del líquido impregnante, y la precipitación del óxido de zinc a partir del líquido impregnante mediante la adición de un anti-disolvente al líquido impregnante.
