Abstract
Un proceso para separar zinc de materia prima que contiene una mezcla de metales y compuestos metálicos. El proceso comprende lixiviar materia prima que contiene zinc con una solución básica concentrada, opcionalmente diluyendo el lodo con una cantidad de agua suficiente como para reducir la viscosidad del lodo, facilitando con ello la separación de una extracto que contiene zinc disuelto de materiales insolubles, separando los materiales insolubles del extracto, y precipitando el óxido de zinc del extracto por medio de la adición de un antisolvente al extracto. El proceso descripto también provee el reciclado de la solución básica y del antisolvente extracto.
