Abstract
La invención se refiere a un método para el tratamiento de superficie de partículas de pigmento inorgánico con aglomerados de partículas primarias o cristales únicos de compuestos inorgánicos, en particular de óxidos o sulfatos. El método se caracteriza en que los compuestos inorgánicos se precipitan primero de una solución acuosa en condiciones de pH adecuadas en un recipiente separado en forma de aglomerados en su totalidad estructurados y/o cristales únicos. El producto de precipitación se añade posteriormente a una suspensión acuosa de partículas de pigmento inorgánico. El método es particularmente adecuado para el tratamiento de superficie de partículas de dióxido de titanio, a fin de lograr alto poder cubriente o alta opacidad cuando se utilizan en pinturas de emulsión o laminados.
