Abstract
Se describe un método para fabricar un compuesto de heparina de alto peso molecular (HMWH). El método comprende disolver heparina para formar una solución de heparina y fraccionar la solución de heparina mediante filtración de flujo tangencial (TFF) usando una membrana con un corte de peso molecular (MWCO) entre aproximadamente 8 kDa y aproximadamente 12 kDa. La TFF produce un retenido que comprende heparina fraccionada con un peso molecular promedio en peso de aproximadamente 20 kDa o mayor, es decir, un compuesto de heparina de alto peso molecular. Una proporción sustancial de cadenas de heparina en la heparina fraccionada puede tener un peso molecular alto, por ejemplo, el 50 % de las cadenas de heparina o más pueden tener un peso molecular de 20 kDa o mayor.
