Abstract
En algunas modalidades, dos o más tipos diferentes de estructuras de estator pueden estar dispuestas dentro de un espacio de una máquina de flujo axial; dichas disposiciones pueden ser onvenientes, por ejemplo, para producir una máquina optimizada para múltiples modos de operación, como generación de torque mecánico, conversión de torque mecánico en energía eléctrica, y/o disipación de energía mecánica; además, en algunas modalidades, una máquina de flujo axial puede incluir un estator plano que tiene una bobina dispuesta para estar posicionada dentro de la región activa de la máquina, y también puede incluir por lo menos un interruptor configurado para ser serrado selectivamente para establecer una conexión eléctrica entre respectivos extremos de la bobina en un momento en el que la bobina no está acoplada a una fuente de energía externa.
