Abstract

En el presente documento se divulgan métodos y aparatos para producir partículas a escala nanométrica utilizando una suspensión estabilizada electroestéricamente en un molino de medios. Un método para producir partículas a escala nanométrica incluye añadir a un molino de medios una suspensión de sustrato de alimentación. La suspensión de sustrato de alimentación incluye un medio portador líquido y partículas de sustrato de alimentación. El método incluye además añadir a la suspensión de sustrato de alimentación en el molino de medios un dispersante electroestérico. El dispersante electroestérico incluye un polielectrolito. Aún más, el método incluye hacer funcionar el molino de medios durante un período de tiempo para triturar las partículas de sustrato de alimentación, formando así partículas a escala nanométrica que tienen un tamaño de partícula (D90) inferior a aproximadamente un micrómetro, y recircular para moler adicionalmente las partículas a escala nanométrica procedentes del molino de medios.
