Abstract

La presente divulgación se refiere a métodos que usan la enzima CRISPR-Cas13, en complejo con los ARN guía de ARNcr del SARS-CoV-2 para detectar y cuantificar la presencia del ARN del SARS-CoV-2 en una muestra con especificidad y sensibilidad mejoradas. Estos métodos se pueden usar para diagnosticar la infección por SARS-CoV-2, cuantificar la concentración de ARN de SARS-CoV-2 presente en una muestra, identificar la presencia de diferentes variantes, subtipos o mutaciones de empalme de SARS-CoV-2 y monitorear reactivación de la transcripción del SARS-CoV-2.
