Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para la preparación de fluoropolímeros o fluoroelastómeros en medio acuoso utilizando un tensioactivo que contiene hidrocarburos de tipo sulfonato no fluorado, dicho proceso comprende los pasos de: (a) formar una solución acuosa que comprende el tensioactivo de tipo sulfonato aniónico que contiene hidrocarburos no fluorados en un reactor de polimerización; (b) presurizar el reactor con fluoromonómeros para formar una emulsión acuosa; (c) iniciar la polimerización de dichos fluoromonómeros; y (d) propagar la reacción (e) terminar la reacción después del consumo del peso deseado de fluoromonómeros; en donde el tensioactivo de tipo sulfonato que contiene hidrocarburos no fluorados consiste en 18 a 33 átomos de carbono, en donde el peso molecular del fluoropolímero varía de 1 × 103 a 9 × 108 g/mol y en donde el proceso carece de pasivación del tensioactivo.
