Abstract
La invención divulga un catalizador que comprende un soporte de sílice modificada que tiene un metal modificador de titanio, y un metal catalítico sobre el soporte de sílice modificada. Una proporción del metal modificador está presente en forma de restos de titanio mononucleares o procede de una fuente de catión de titanio mononuclear al comienzo de la modificación. La invención también divulga un soporte de sílice modificada correspondiente, un método para producir el catalizador o el soporte de sílice modificada, y un proceso para preparar un ácido o éster etilénicamente insaturado en presencia del catalizador.
