Abstract

Se da a conocer un método de purificación de una corriente de refrigerante hidroclorofluoroolefina en bruto producido mediante la reacción de 1,1,3,3 tetracloropropeno (R1230za) o 1,1,1,3,3-pentacloropropano (R240fa) con HF. El proceso incluye una etapa de eliminar el isómero cis- (Z) mediante destilación de la corriente de refrigerante en bruto antes de una etapa de hacer reaccionar la corriente de refrigerante en bruto con una base. La reacción con la base es una etapa necesaria en la producción del refrigerante y se realiza para eliminar HF y HCl residual de la corriente de refrigerante en bruto. La eliminación del isómero cis- (Z) antes de la reacción con la base reduce la cantidad de trifluoropropino inflamable tóxico (TFP) que se produce como una reacción secundaria durante la reacción con la base. Además, el control de temperatura durante la reacción con la base es menos crítica para minimizar la producción de TFP si el isómero cis- (Z).
