Abstract
Un proceso se presenta para tratar una corriente de proceso que contiene un hidrocarburo (aceite y/o gas) y sulfuro de hidrógeno con una solución de tratamiento líquida que contiene un catalizador de tinte de azufre. La corriente de proceso puede estar dentro de una tubería, perforación, tubería submarina o una cabeza de pozo que contiene sulfuro de hidrógeno donde la solución de tratamiento líquida se inyecta en un punto predeterminado para definir una zona depuradora tal que el catalizador de tinte de azufre en la solución de tratamiento líquida que causa que el azufre del sulfuro de hidrógeno reaccione con el catalizador de tinte de azufre agotado que luego puede ser alimentado en un recipiente de oxidación donde se pone en contacto con un gas que contiene oxígeno que causa que el sulfuro oxide a tiosulfato y convierte el catalizador de tinte de azufre agotado al catalizador de tinte de azufre regenerado. El tiosulfato puede ser recuperado, y el catalizador de tinte de azufre regenerado se puede reciclar como parte de la solución de tratamiento líquida.
