Abstract

Se proporciona una herramienta predictiva para estimar el contenido de mercurio de hidrocarburos para producir de un pozo en una formación de producción de hidrocarburos subterránea recién investigada en base al contenido de mercurio de una muestra inorgánica recuperada del pozo. El contenido de mercaptanos de hidrocarburos líquidos y/o el contenido de sulfuro de hidrógeno de gas natural producido de la formación también se puede usar para mejorar la predicción. En base al valor pronosticado, un tratamiento de mitigación de mercurio se puede proporcionar para mitigar el contenido de mercurio de hidrocarburos producidos desde la formación.
