Abstract
La invención describe un cristal de vehículo, que comprende, en este orden a) un cristal de vidrio exterior, b) una o una pluralidad de capas laminadas 2, c) una capa de PDLC 4, que comprende una matriz polimérica 9, en la cual se encuentran incrustadas gotitas de cristal líquido 8 y, en cada caso una capa eléctricamente conductora 3, 5 sobre ambos lados de la matiz polimérica 9, d) una o una pluralidad de capas laminadas 6 y e) un cristal de vidrio interior 7, caracterizado porque TL (interior) se encuentra en el intervalo de 5 a 46% y TL (exterior) se encuentra en el intervalo de 20 a 73% y TL (exterior) es mayor que o igual a TL (interior), donde TL (interior) es la transmitancia de luz de una pila interior que está formada por el cristal de vidrio interior 7 y las capas entre la capa de PDLC 4 y el cristal de vidrio interior 7 y TL (exterior) es la transmitancia de luz de una pila exterior que está formada por el cristal de vidrio exterior 1 y las capas entre la capa de PDLC y el cristal de vidrio exterior 1. El cristal de vehículo de acuerdo con la invención exhibe, comparado con cristales de PDLC convencionales, propiedades ópticas significativamente mejoradas con menos velo blanco en el caso de la luz solar incidente y una impresión óptica de calidad significativamente mayor cuando el cristal se ve desde el interior.
