Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con un inoculante para la elaboración de hierro fundido con grafito esferoidal, dicho inoculante comprende una aleación de ferrosilicio particulado que consiste en entre 40 y 80 % en peso de Si; 0.02-8 % en peso de Ca; 0-5 % en peso de Sr; 0- 12 % en peso de Ba; 0-15 % en peso de metal de tierras raras; 0-5 % en peso de Mg; 0.05-5 % en peso de Al; 0-10 % en peso de Mn; 0-10 % en peso de Ti; 0-10 % en peso de Zr; el balance es Fe e impurezas incidentales en la cantidad normal, en donde dicho inoculante contiene, además, en peso, basado en el peso total del inoculante: 0.1 a 15 % de Sb2S3 particulado y, opcionalmente entre 0.1 y 15 % de Bi2O3 particulado, y/o entre 0.1 y 15 % de Sb2O3 particulado, y/o entre 0.1 y 15 % de Bi2S3 particulado, y/o entre 0.1 y 5 % de uno o más de Fe3O4, Fe2O3, FeO particulados, o una mezcla de estos, y/o entre 0.1 y 5 % de uno o más de FeS, FeS2, Fe3S4 particulados, o una mezcla de estos, un método para producir tal inoculante y uso de tal inoculante.
