Abstract

La invención se refiere a un método para determinar la probabilidad de estar en o por encima de una cierta tasa y/o riesgo de progresión del campo visual (VFP) de un usuario, que comprende los siguientes pasos: un paso de instalación (8100) que comprende colocar 0 implantar un sensor de uso continuo sobre o en un ojo de un usuario; un paso de medición (8101) que comprende medir propiedades biomecánicas oculares (OBP) a través del sensor de uso continuo colocado o implantado en el ojo, en donde dicha medición comprende la captura repetida de datos a intervalos de tiempo regulares; un paso de registro (8102) que comprende registrar las propiedades biomecánicas oculares del usuario en forma de al menos un diagrama de serie temporal de OBP en un registrador; un paso de procesamiento (S103) en donde al menos uno de una pluralidad de parámetros de OBP se extraen del por 10 menos un diagrama de serie temporal de OBP registrado; un paso de cálculo (8104) en donde el al menos uno de una pluralidad de parámetros de OBP son asociados con VFP; un paso de determinación (S105) en donde se determina si la progresión del campo visual es igual o superior a un cierto umbral de VFP y/o la probabilidad de que dicha progresión del campo visual esté comprendida dentro de un rango específico; un paso de predicción (S106) en donde, con base en la VFP determinada, se predice la probabilidad de que un paciente desarrolle un glaucoma, y un paso de evaluación (S107) para juzgar un tratamiento médico específico con base en el resultado de predicción anterior.
