Abstract
Esta invención se relaciona con un procedimiento, que mediante la aplicación de un catalizador en fase homogénea, permite la transformación de hidrocarburos pesados (residuo de vacío, residuo atmosférico, crudos pesados y extra-pesados) en hidrocarburos de menor peso molecular, caracterizado porque después su aplicación, se obtienen mayor gravedad API, menor viscosidad cinemática y distinta composición por familias de hidrocarburos, (SARA) que incrementa la proporción de saturados y aromáticos y disminuye resinas y asfaltenos. Así mismo, se reduce el contenido de azufre y nitrógeno, obteniéndose mayor rendimiento a destilados de alto valor comercial y un producto más ligero con respecto al crudo original.
