Abstract
La presente invención proporciona un dispositivo difusor de luz cilíndrico (300) que comprende una fibra de núcleo no circular (302) que tiene (i) un núcleo de la fibra (350) que proporciona una distribución de irradiancia del núcleo de "sombrero de copa"; opcionalmente (ii) un medio de bloqueo de luz (314) que evitan la emisión de luz frontal desde extremo distal de la fibra de núcleo no circular (302); y (iii) una sección difusora de luz (308) que tiene un extremo proximal difusor (310), un extremo distal difusor (312) y características de dispersión interna(362) distribuidas dentro del núcleo de la fibra (350) de la sección difusora de luz (308) a lo largo del eje central (364) del núcleo de la fibra (350), en donde la sección difusión de la luz (308) emite irradiancia en una distribución de irradiancia difusora radialmente simétrica longitudinalmente de "sombrero de copa". La descripción también proporciona un dispositivo (600) que comprende una sección de fibra de núcleo no circular (604) y una lente (606), en donde la sección núcleo no circular tiene una distribución de irradiancia del núcleo de "sombrero de copa" y el dispositivo proporciona una distribución de irradiancia espectral "de sombrero de copa" en una ubicación focalizada. La descripción también proporciona un dispositivo (700) que comprende una fibra óptica (702) y un conjunto de lentes de colimación (704) que incluye una abertura variable (714) que bloquea porciones de la luz descompuestas de la fibra óptica permitiendo de esta manera que solo una porción central de la luz salga de la abertura variable que da como resultado una distribución de irradiancia plana.
