Abstract
Se proporciona un filosilicato que tiene una estructura laminar en forma de capas y que comprende un agente de intercalación entre las capas, donde el agente de intercalación es un poliéster de un peso molecular de 274 a 30.000 g/ mol, y en el que el filosilicato es distinto de un filosilicato modificado por intercambio iónico. También se proporciona un polímero nanocomposite que comprende un polímero de tereftalato de polietileno (PET) y el filosilicato mencionado anteriormente, así como procesos de preparación del filosilicato intercalado y el nanocomposite de PET. El nanocomposite de PET es particularmente útil para el envasado, en particular para el envasado de alimentos y bebidas.
