Abstract

Se describe un método para la detección de un anticuerpo IgM específico para un flavivirus en una muestra, que comprende los pasos de a) poner en contacto la muestra con un soporte sólido que comprenda moléculas de unión a IgM inmovilizadas, b) permitir la unión de anticuerpos IgM en la muestra a las moléculas de unión a IgM en el soporte sólido para que los anticuerpos IgM también se inmovilicen en el soporte sólido, y c) detectar anticuerpos IgM específicos para un flavivirus permitiendo la unión de un complejo que comprende i) un dímero antiparalelo de Proteína E de flavivirus soluble ( sE) y ii) un marcador e identificar la unión del complejo al anticuerpo IgM de flavivirus específico detectando el marcador; y un kit adecuado para llevar a cabo el método.
