Abstract
La invención provee una composición catalizadora que incluye una mezcla de partículas catalíticamente activas y un material magnético, como, por ejemplo, nanopartículas superparamagnéticas de óxido de hierro, con capacidad de calentamiento inductivo en respuesta a un campo electromagnético alterno aplicado. Las partículas catalíticamente activas incluirán generalmente un metal base, un metal del grupo del platino, óxido de metal base o metal de grupo del platino, o sus combinaciones, y se adaptarán para usarse en diversos sistemas catalíticos, tales como catalizadores de oxidación de diesel, filtros de hollín catalizado, trampas de NOx pobre, catalizadores de reducción catalítica selectiva, catalizadores de oxidación de amoníaco, o catalizadores de tres vías.
