Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con métodos para modular la flora intestinal al administrar una o más defensinas y/o el GLP-1/análogos del GLP-1 y con los métodos para la prevención o tratamiento de una inflamación intestinal mediante la administración oral de una o más defensinas. Los análogos del GLP-1 tales como Liraglutid, así como las alfa y beta defensinas de mamíferos y aves de corral pueden provocar un cambio en la composición de la flora y el metaboloma en el intestino y por lo tanto se pueden utilizar para tratar o prevenir una inflamación intestinal, cáncer colorrectal, síndrome metabólico, obesidad, prediabetes y diabetes o como promotores de crecimiento magro en la producción de carne.
