Abstract

La presente invención hace referencia a un método y a un freno de seguridad para un mecanismo elevador, donde para activar un trinquete (SK) se utiliza un imán de elevación u otro actuador (A) electromecánico, donde la respectiva posición del trinquete (SK) se monitorea con al menos dos interruptores o sensores (SI, S2), y donde mediante un controlador orientado a la seguridad y al menos un sensor se monitorea el movimiento descendente de la carga o del mecanismo elevador y, en el caso de una falla, se activa el frenado de seguridad. De este modo, el imán de elevación o el trinquete (SK) están dispuestos de manera que a través de la fuerza elástica y/o de la fuerza de gravedad el trinquete se engancha cuando el actuador, por ejemplo, el imán de elevación, es conectado sin corriente o "sin energía". A través de este freno de seguridad es posible definir y monitorear exactamente la velocidad límite que al ser superada debe activar el freno de seguridad. A través de la utilización de los dos sensores (S1, S2), por ejemplo, interruptores, mediante el controlador, es posible además monitorear el funcionamiento y el movimiento del trinquete, detectando estados de funcionamiento no deseados, por ejemplo, en los casos en donde el freno de seguridad está enganchado y el accionamiento del mecanismo elevador desea bajar aún más la carga.
