Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un catéter de ablación (1) para la ablación de tejidos que comprende:- un cuerpo tubular telescópico (4) que comprende a su vez un cuerpo tubular externo (4a) y un cuerpo tubular interno (4b) concéntricos entre sí, y un elemento de guía tipo varilla (5) alojado al menos parcialmente en el cuerpo tubular interno (4b) con al menos un extremo libre (5a) que se proyecta del cuerpo tubular interno (4b) en correspondencia con un extremo distante del cuerpo telescópico (4); - un cabezal de colocación (2, 2´´, 2´´´, 2°, 2*, 2^) y un cabezal de ablación (3) en correspondencia con el extremo distante del cuerpo telescópico (4), el cabezal de colocación (2, 2´´, 2´´´, 2´, 2*, ^) se sitúa en proximidad del extremo libre (5a) de la guía tipo varilla, y el cabezal de ablación (3) en proximidad del cabezal de colocación (2, 2´´, 2´´´, 2°, 2*, 2^) en una posición remota con respecto al extremo libre (5a); - una pieza de mano de control en un extremo próximo del cuerpo telescópico (4) acoplado con el elemento de guía (5), el cabezal de ablación (3), el cabezal de colocación (2, 2´´, 2´´´, 2°, 2*, 2^) y el cuerpo tubular telescópico (4); en donde el cabezal de ablación (3) comprende al menos dos elementos de ablación o pétalos (3a) que pueden moverse de una posición de reposo en la cual se alojan en el cuerpo tubular externo (4a) y una posición de operación en la cual se proyectan desde el cuerpo tubular externo (4a) igual que un pétalo; en donde cada uno de los elementos de ablación o pétalos (3a) comprende: - un electrodo de ablación continua (3b) que se extiende sin interrupción sobre una porción periférica circunferencial de cada pétalo (3a) sustancialmente a lo largo de un arco de circunferencia que tiene un eje longitudinal del elemento de guía tipo varilla (5) como su centro; - dos porciones laterales (3c) del pétalo (3a), cada una conectada a un extremo del electrodo de ablación (3b), en correspondencia con una sección curvada, las porciones laterales (3c) y el electrodo de ablación (3b) son integrales entre sí, formadas por medio del mismo conductor metálico doblado, - cada pétalo de ablación (3a) se separa y es distinto de otro pétalo de ablación (3a) del cabezal de ablación, - todos los pétalos de ablación (3a) del cabezal de ablación se conectan por separado a un generador de energía eléctrica distinto para provocar una ablación por radiofrecuencia en una condición de electrodo de ablación alimentada (3b).
