Abstract

Procedimientos y aparatos se divulgan para la separación eficiente desde el punto de vista energético del efluente de un reactor de trans-alquilación de TOL/A9+. El aparato incluye una columna de pre-fraccionamiento re-hervida y una torre de extracción lateral que produce: 1) una corriente de la parte superior que incluye tolueno sin reaccionar, 2) una corriente que incluye compuestos aromáticos de C9+ sin reaccionar, una porción de la dicha corriente puede reciclarse al reactor; y 3) una corriente de extracción lateral que incluye compuestos aromáticos de C8 que pueden dirigirse a una unidad de separación de paraxileno por cristalización o adsorción selectiva para recuperación de un producto de paraxileno. En el procedimiento, la presión de las torres de pre-fraccionamiento y extracción lateral puede incrementarse de tal manera que los vapores de condensación de la parte superior de la torre de extracción lateral pueden usarse para re-hervir columnas precedentes tales como una columna estabilizadora y/o de benceno y también pueden usarse opcionalmente para generar vapor. La corriente de compuestos aromáticos de C9+ puede dirigirse a una columna de A9 que produce una corriente de la parte superior que incluye A9 y A10 que pueden reciclarse al reactor. Una corriente adicional de extracción lateral de C9A+ puede retirarse de la columna de extracción lateral que incluye A9 y A10 que pueden reciclarse al reactor y luego una corriente de fondo puede retirarse de la columna de extracción lateral que incluye C10+ que es sustancialmente libre de A9 que puede usarse como un combustible, por ejemplo.
