Abstract
Se divulga un sistema de recirculación de gases de escape en el cual se utiliza un controlador electrónico 20 para operar una válvula de recirculación de gases de escape 6 a fin de limpiar una válvula movible 6V de la válvula de recirculación de gases de escape 6. La limpieza de la válvula 6V se retrasa después de un apagado de un motor 2, lo que permite que los depósitos 18 formados en la válvula 6V se enfríen. La duración del retraso se elige de modo tal que los depósitos 18 en la válvula 6V aún sean fáciles de retirar, pero que no sea probable que se vuelvan a formar después de que haya tenido lugar la operación de limpieza.
