Abstract
Se presenta un método para la eliminación de compuestos orgánicos semivolátiles en el suelo, lodo, aguas subterráneas, aguas de proceso y aguas residuales. Los procesos de oxidación y de atenuación biológica utilizan peróxido, persulfatos, percarbonatos, y/o otros oxidantes con metales trivalentes, tales como hierro férrico (Fe3 +) o ion mangánico (Mn3 +) como activadores. El proceso de oxidación química resultante produce compuestos de degradación que facilitan aún más la atenuación a través de procesos biológicos.
