Abstract

Se describe un método para anexar un extremo de metal a un cuerpo de recipiente de metal, con el fin de cerrar una abertura en el cuerpo, en donde el cuerpo tiene un borde ondulado que rodea por lo menos parcialmente la abertura y el extremo tiene un borde vertical que se extiende por lo menos parcialmente alrededor de la periferia del mismo. El método comprende colocar el extremo dentro del cuerpo en o cerca de la abertura, traer una herramienta de ondulación en contacto con el borde vertical del extremo y aplicar una fuerza a aquel borde, vía la herramienta de ondulación, con el fin de ondular el borde vertical alrededor del borde ondulado del cuerpo para formar ondulados entrelazados.
