Abstract
Un método para orientar automáticamente un vehículo de manejo de materiales a un ángulo deseado, el método incluye proporcionar al vehículo medios de transporte de acoplamiento a piso conectados operablemente a un chasis del vehículo, proporcionar un primer estabilizador hacia un lado derecho del vehículo, el estabilizador se engancha selectivamente con el piso para elevar un lado derecho del chasis, proporcionar un segundo estabilizador hacia un lado izquierdo del vehículo, el segundo estabilizador se engancha selectivamente con el piso para elevar el lado izquierdo del chasis, proporcionar un controlador para la operación de control del primero y segundo estabilizadores en respuesta a una entrada de operador, el método incluye los pasos de posicionar el vehículo en piso con el primero y segundo estabilizadores que se desacoplan del piso de tal manera que el chasis esté en un ángulo de balanceo inicial, proporcionar un ángulo de balanceo deseable, proporcionar una entrada de operador al control que requiere del despliegue de los estabilizadores de tal manera que el controlador despliega simultáneamente el primero y segundo estabilizadores, en donde después de la detección de un cambio en el ángulo de balanceo lejos del ángulo de balanceo deseado provocado por el acoplamiento de uno de los estabilizadores con el piso, el controlador detiene automáticamente el despliegue de uno de los estabilizadores y continúa el despliegue de otro de los estabilizadores hasta que se logra el ángulo de balanceo deseado.
