Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con una máquina trenzadora o cableadora (1) para trenzar o cablear material en forma de cuerda, por ejemplo alambres, teniendo un rotor que está montado en un árbol de rotor (5, 6, 22) de una o varias partes que es accionado por al menos un motor (8, 8a, 8b). La máquina trenzadora o cableadora (1) está dispuesta al menos en parte en un espacio (2) cerrado por una envoltura (3) y está relleno de un medio que tiene una densidad menor que la densidad del aire de ambiente, por ejemplo mediante la producción de una presión negativa o usando helio. A causa de la menor resistencia de aire en el rotor, esto produce un consumo menor de energía, menos desarrollo de ruido y una excitación menor de vibraciones. El árbol de rotor (5, 6, 22) puede disponerse totalmente en el interior de la envoltura (3) del espacio (2) cerrado o el árbol de rotor (5, 6) tiene al menos una sección con un diámetro menor, siendo que sólo una sección con un diámetro menor atraviesa la envoltura (3). Esto significa que obturaciones de aire (14) que tienen partes en contacto entre sí y que rotan relativamente entre sí se evitan o que se reduce el alto desgaste de semejantes obturaciones (14).
