Abstract

Un método para formar un envase de metal comprende: enrollar hacia afuera un borde superior de un envase de metal para formar un rizo y expandir el diámetro de una primera sección del envase de metal para formar una primera sección expandida; en donde por lo menos parte de la primera sección expandida está debajo del rizo. En algunas modalidades, los pasos de enrollado hacia afuera de un borde superior del envase de metal para formar un rizo y la expansión del diámetro de una primera sección del envase de metal para formar una primera sección expandida se realizan en una carrera individual de una matriz individual. En algunas modalidades, el paso de expansión del diámetro de una primera sección del envase de metal para formar una sección expandida se realiza después del paso de enrollado hacia afuera del borde superior del envase de metal para formar un rizo.
