Abstract
Se describen aquí vectores virales basados en modificaciones del virus de la tristeza de los cítricos, útiles para transfectar árboles de cítrico para fines beneficiosos; en la descripción se incluyen vectores virales que incluyen uno o más casetes de gen que codifican polipéptidos heterólogos; los casetes de gen están colocados en lugares convenientes sobre el genoma viral a fin de permitir la expresión, preservando al mismo tiempo la funcionalidad del virus; también se describen métodos de transfección de plantas y plantas transfectadas con modalidades del vector viral.
