Abstract
Se describen métodos para formar sales amónicas de diácidos C4 en un proceso de fermentación con la eliminación de sales carbonato de un metal divalente. El pH de los caldos de fermentación para la producción de diácidos C4 se controla añadiendo compuestos cálcicos o magnésicos que contienen oxígeno alcalinos, que forman sales de metales divalentes de los diácidos. Las sales de metales divalentes de los diácidos se remplazan por amonio mediante la introducción de sales amónicas a una temperatura y presión elevadas formando sales amónicas solubles de estos. Se añade simultáneamente CO2 o bicarbonato al medio de fermentación a la temperatura y la presión elevadas. La reducción de la temperatura y la presión forma sales carbonato de metales divalentes insolubles que se separan de las sales amónicas de los diácidos disueltas. Las sales carbonato recuperadas se pueden reciclar como materiales para controlar el pH en fermentaciones posteriores. Las sales amónicas de los diácidos disueltas pueden formar los derivados N-metil-2-pirrolidina (NMP), gamma-butirolactona (GBL) y 1,4-butanodiol (BDO) en reacciones en un único recipiente.
