Abstract

Se prepara un combustible para aplicaciones automovilísticas y aplicaciones marítimas mediante la conversión catalítica en fase líquida del (los) alcohol(es) en un combustible primario que contiene alcohol al (los) éter(es) correspondiente(s) en un dispositivo compacto que comprende una entrada para un combustible que contiene alcohol del tanque primario, un calentador de arranque, un intercambiador de calor, el cual calienta el (los) alcohol(es) frío(s) a una temperatura adecuada antes de que entre al reactor, un lecho catalítico dentro del reactor, en donde el (los) alcohol(es) se convierten(n) parcialmente al (los) éter(es), una válvula de reducción de presión, un medio de entrada para agregar aditivos y un tanque de compensación, en donde la mezcla de combustible resultante del (los) alcohol(es) y el (los) éter(es) se almacena después del paso nuevamente a través del intercambiador de calor para el enfriamiento adecuado, el calentador solo se utiliza durante el arranque y de ese modo el proceso se conduce bajo condiciones de operación autotérmicas.
