Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso de producción de energía hidráulica mediante ósmosis directa a partir de dos disoluciones salinas de diferente concentración que se hacen pasar por uno o más módulos de membranas semipermeables de doble puerto de entrada y salida que originalmente están diseñadas para realizar el proceso de ósmosis inversa, sin necesidad de realizar ninguna modificación técnica sobre dichos módulos de membranas. De esta forma, se produce un potencial osmótico en las membranas que origina una corriente de disolución con una presión suficiente para producir energía hidráulica. Constituye otro objeto de la presente invención la instalación diseñada para producir energía hidráulica de acuerdo con el procedimiento citado y el uso de la misma, así como una planta desaladora y una planta de tratamiento terciario de aguas residuales que comprenden la instalación para producir energía hidráulica.
