Abstract

Se proporciona un sistema y método para tratar una alteración de comunicación neuronal. La alteración de comunicación neuronal se presenta en una vía neural, la cual puede ser una vía cortico-neuromuscular, una vía neural intra-cerebral, o en una vía sensorial cortical. Se aplica una estimulación externa sincronizada en un primer punto en la proximidad de un primer componente neural en un extremo de la vía neural y en un segundo punto en proximidad de un segundo componente neural en el otro extremo de la vía neural. Dos señales de reconocimiento neurales inducidas alcanzan un punto de alteración de comunicación neural en la vía neural, accionando y estimulando un proceso de rehabilitación por el cual la conexión neural se mejora de manera permanente. Las señales eléctricas sincronizadas aplicadas al primer y segundo puntos pueden tener una polaridad opuesta en la estimulación neural dipolar, o pueden tener una polaridad idéntica y forma de onda en una estimulación neural en fase.
