Abstract

La presente solicitud describe procesos para la síntesis de compuestos de morfinano y morfinona, útiles como agentes farmacéuticos. También se incluyeron intermediarios novedosos útiles en la preparación de estos compuestos. El proceso comprende la cuaternización de oripavina para producir una mezcla de sales cuaternarias R- y S- isoméricas (en el nitrógeno). El isómero-R es fácilmente aislado y convertido en varios compuestos de N-(R)-morfinano y N-(S)-morfinona. El isómero-R, el isómero-S o una mezcla de isómeros R- y S-pueden ser desmetilados y convertidos en diferentes compuestos de morfinano y morfinona.
