Abstract
Una partícula depuradora de oxígeno completamente disperso, compuesta en una matriz polimérica. La formulación depuradora de oxígeno consiste en polvo férrico con un tamaño de partícula promedio dentro de los 1-25um y previamente revestida con al menos uno o más compuestos activadores y acidificantes en polvo, usualmente en forma de sales sólidas orgánicas o inorgánicas de metales alcalinos o alcalinotérreos tales como bisulfato de cloruro y sodio. La partícula férrica previamente revestida es dispersada en una resma polimérica utilizando un método de proceso de fundición convencional como la extrusión de doble tornillo. El compuesto depurador de oxígeno es mezclado con dos pastillas poliméricas en estado sólido antes de la fundición. Las pastillas de resma polimérica y el polvo férrico cubierto, de preferencia son tratados con un agente tensoactivo en estado seco para ayudar a dispersar el polvo férrico/salino con pastillas de resma. Los compuestos extruidos fundidos son empastillados y se mantienen en estado seco para prevenir la activación prematura.
