Abstract

Un proceso para mejorar la calidad de una corriente de suministro de hidrocarburo altamente aromático comprende (a) poner en contacto una corriente de suministro de hidrocarburo altamente aromática, que tiene un contenido de parafina mayor que por lo menos aproximadamente 5 % en peso, en donde una porción principal de la corriente de suministro tiene un intervalo de ebullición desde aproximadamente 148.8°C (300°F) hasta aproximadamente 426.6°C (800°F), bajo condiciones catalíticas con un sistema catalizador, que contiene un catalizador de hidrotratamiento y un catalizador de hidrogenación/hidrocraqueo en un sistema de reactor de una sola etapa, en donde los metales activos en el catalizador de hidrogenación/hidrocraqueo y un catalizador de desparafinación comprenden desde aproximadamente 5%-30% en peso de níquel y desde aproximadamente 5%-30% en peso de tungsteno; y (b) en donde por lo menos una porción de la corriente de suministro de hidrocarburo altamente aromático es convertida a una corriente de producto que tiene un intervalo de ebullición en los intervalos de ebullición de combustible de aviación o diesel.
