Abstract

Se describen técnicas para enviar una transmisión de MIMO en un sistema de comunicaciones inalámbricas. En un diseño, un transmisor envía una primera señal de referencia a un receptor. El receptor selecciona una matriz de precodificación con base en la primera señal de referencia y de acuerdo con un criterio de selección. El receptor calcula el ruido e interferencia en el receptor y determina el indicador de calidad de canal (CQI) o información de modulación y esquema de codificación (MCS) con base en la matriz de precodificación y el ruido e interferencia calculados. El receptor envía la información de CQI o MCS y una segunda señal de referencia al transmisor. El transmisor selecciona la matriz de precodificación con base en la segunda señal de referencia y de acuerdo con el mismo criterio de selección utilizado por el receptor. Después, el transmisor envía una transmisión de MIMO al receptor con base en la información de CQI o MCS obtenida a partir del receptor y la matriz de precodificación - seleccionada por el transmisor.
