Definitions
- the present invention relates to a reference signal arrangement method and a radio communication base station apparatus.
- 3GPP-LTE OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) is adopted as a downlink communication method.
- a wireless communication base station device hereinafter abbreviated as a base station transmits a reference signal (Reference Signal: RS) using a predetermined communication resource
- a wireless communication terminal device hereinafter referred to as a terminal. (Omitted) performs channel estimation using the received reference signal and demodulates data (see Non-Patent Document 1).
- the terminal uses the reference signal to measure the reception quality for adaptive MCS (Modulation and channel Coding Scheme) control, PMI (Precoding Matrix Indicator) control in MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) transmission, or adaptive scheduling. Do. Then, the terminal feeds back the obtained PMI and reception quality information (CQI: Channel Quality Indicator) to the base station.
- MCS Modulation and channel Coding Scheme
- PMI Precoding Matrix Indicator
- MIMO Multiple-Input Multiple-Output
- the base station can perform diversity transmission.
- the base station can perform high-speed transmission by transmitting a plurality of data streams from a plurality of antennas (MIMO transmission).
- MIMO transmission a plurality of antennas
- the terminal needs to know the channel state from the antenna group used for transmission at the base station to the terminal. Therefore, RSs need to be transmitted without interference from all antennas provided in the base station.
- 3GPP-LTE employs a method in which RSs are transmitted from each antenna of a base station using different timings and carrier frequencies in the time domain and the frequency domain.
- FIG. 1 shows the configuration of a 4-antenna base station (4Tx base station) assumed in 3GPP-LTE
- FIG. 2 shows an RS transmission method in the 4Tx base station (see Non-Patent Document 2).
- the vertical axis (frequency domain) is in subcarrier units
- the horizontal axis (time domain) is in OFDM symbol units.
- R0, R1, R2, and R3 indicate RSs transmitted from antennas 0, 1, 2, and 3 (first, second, third, and fourth antennas), respectively.
- the unit of one block (6 subcarriers in the frequency domain and 14 OFDM symbols in the time domain) surrounded by a thick frame is called a resource block (Resource Block: RB).
- Resource Block Resource Block
- the RS shown in FIG. 2 is common to all terminals in the cell covered by the base station, and is called a cell-specific RS (Cell Specific Reference Signal).
- the base station may additionally transmit an RS (terminal-specific RS (UE Specific Reference Signal)) multiplied by a specific weight for each terminal for beamforming transmission.
- RS terminal-specific RS (UE Specific Reference Signal)
- the number of antennas of the base station in 3GPP-LTE is four at the maximum, and a terminal corresponding to 3GPP-LTE is transmitted from a base station (4Tx base station) having a maximum of four antennas (see FIG. 2 are used to perform data demodulation and downlink signal quality measurement.
- LTE-advanced which is an extension of 3GPP-LTE, is considering a base station (8Tx base station) having a maximum of eight antennas.
- LTE terminals a terminal that supports only 4Tx base stations
- LTE + terminals a terminal that also supports 8Tx base stations
- LTE-advanced terminals Both are required.
- the base station In LTE-advanced, in order for an LTE + terminal to receive a diversity-transmitted signal without error, the base station needs to transmit an RS for 8 antennas. For example, as shown in FIG. 3, it is possible to arrange R0 to R7, which are RSs for 8 antennas, in all RBs. Thereby, the LTE + terminal can receive the signal without error. Furthermore, since the terminal can obtain CQI and PMI of each antenna for each subframe, throughput can be improved by MIMO transmission.
- the LTE terminal only knows the arrangement positions of the RSs (R0 to R3) shown in FIG. That is, the LTE terminal does not know the presence of the RS used only in the LTE + terminal, that is, R4 to R7 shown in FIG. Therefore, the LTE terminal recognizes that the data signal is arranged in the RE in which RSs (R4 to R7) used only in the LTE + terminal are arranged, and receives the signal.
- the LTE terminal may not receive a signal correctly. As a result, the error rate characteristics and throughput of the LTE terminal are degraded.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a reference signal arrangement method and a radio communication base station apparatus that can prevent the throughput of LTE terminals from deteriorating even when LTE terminals and LTE + terminals coexist.
- the reference signal arrangement method of the present invention includes a first radio communication terminal apparatus corresponding to a radio communication base station apparatus provided with N antennas and a second radio communication base station apparatus provided with more than N antennas.
- First reference signals used by both radio communication terminal apparatuses are arranged in all resource blocks in one frame, and second reference signals used only by the second radio communication terminal apparatus are a part of resources in one frame Added to block.
- a radio communication base station apparatus includes a first radio communication terminal apparatus corresponding to a radio communication base station apparatus provided with N antennas and a radio communication base station apparatus provided with more than N antennas.
- a radio communication base station apparatus that transmits a first reference signal used by both of the two radio communication terminal apparatuses and a second reference signal used only by the second radio communication terminal apparatus, and an arrangement pattern of the second reference signals
- setting means for setting a resource block in which the second reference signal is arranged for each subframe, the first reference signal is arranged in all resource blocks in one frame, and the second reference signal is 1

Arranged in some set RBs.
- IFFT sections 107-1 to 107-8, CP (Cyclic Prefix) adding sections 108-1 to 108-8, and radio transmitting sections 109-1 to 109-8 are provided corresponding to antennas 110-1 to 110-8, respectively. It is done.
- IFFT sections 107-1 to 107-8 perform IFFT on a plurality of subcarriers constituting the RB to which the symbol is assigned to generate an OFDM symbol that is a multicarrier signal. Then, IFFT sections 107-1 to 107-8 output the generated OFDM symbols to CP adding sections 108-1 to 108-8, respectively.

- the radio reception unit 111 receives N signals simultaneously transmitted from a maximum of N terminals via the antennas 110-1 to 110-8, down-converts these signals, performs A / D conversion, etc. Receive processing.
- the CP removal unit 112 removes the CP from the signal after reception processing.
- the demultiplexing unit 114 demultiplexes the signal of each terminal input from the FFT unit 113 into the data signal and control information of each terminal. Then, demultiplexing section 114 outputs the data signals of terminals 1 to N to demodulation sections 115-1 to 115-N, and outputs the control information of terminals 1 to N to demodulation sections 117-1 to 117-N, respectively. .
- the base station 100 includes demodulation units 115-1 to 115-N, decoding units 116-1 to 116-N, demodulating units 117-1 to 117-N, and decoding units 118-1 to 118-N. Only the number N of terminals that can communicate is provided.
- Demodulation sections 115-1 to 115-N perform demodulation processing on the data signal input from separation section 114, and decoding sections 116-1 to 116-N perform decoding processing on the demodulated data signal. Do. Thereby, reception data for each terminal is obtained.
- radio receiving sections 202-1 to 202-8, CP removing sections 203-1 to 203-8, FFT sections 204-1 to 204-8, and extracting sections 205-1 to 205-8 are included.
- the antennas 201-1 to 201-8 are provided correspondingly.
- Radio receiving sections 202-1 to 202-8 receive OFDM symbols transmitted from base station 100 (FIG. 4) via antennas 201-1 to 201-8, downconvert these OFDM symbols, and perform A Receive processing such as / D conversion.

A unique RS (for example, R4 to R7 multiplied by a terminal-specific weight) is extracted. Then, extraction sections 205-1 to 205-8 output cell-specific RSs to channel estimation section 206 and measurement section 212, and output terminal-specific RSs to channel estimation section 206. Further, the extraction units 205-1 to 205-8 output the signals input from the FFT units 204-1 to 204-8 to the spatial reception processing unit 207. Note that terminal 200 may acquire the RS arrangement information by receiving a BCH signal including the RS arrangement information from base station 100.
- Spatial reception processing section 207 uses the channel estimation results input from channel estimation section 206, respectively, the signals input from extraction sections 205-1 to 205-8, that is, antennas 201-1 to 201-8, respectively. Spatial separation processing is performed on the received signal. Then, spatial reception processing section 207 outputs a data signal of demodulated data stream to demodulation section 208 and outputs RS arrangement information to demodulation section 210.
- the demodulation unit 208 performs demodulation processing on the data signal input from the spatial reception processing unit 207, and the decoding unit 209 performs decoding processing on the demodulated data signal. Thereby, reception data is obtained.
- the demodulation unit 210 performs demodulation processing on the RS arrangement information input from the spatial reception processing unit 207, and the decoding unit 211 performs decoding processing on the demodulated RS arrangement information. Then, decoding section 211 outputs the RS arrangement information after decoding to extraction sections 205-1 to 205-8.

PMI estimation for quality is performed. Then, measurement section 212 outputs CQI information indicating the measured CQI and PMI information indicating the estimated PMI to control section 215 as control information.
- the encoding unit 213 performs encoding processing on the transmission data, and the modulation unit 214 performs modulation processing on the encoded transmission data to generate data symbols. Then, modulation section 214 outputs the generated data symbol to multiplexing section 217.
- Encoding section 215 performs encoding processing on control information including CQI information and PMI information input from measurement section 212, and modulating section 216 performs modulation processing on the encoded control information. Generate control information symbols. Then, modulation section 216 outputs the generated control information symbol to multiplexing section 217.
- the multiplexing unit 217 multiplexes the data symbol input from the modulation unit 214 and the control information symbol input from the modulation unit 216, and outputs the multiplexed signal to the IFFT unit 218.
- the IFFT unit 218 performs IFFT on the plurality of subcarriers to which the signal input from the multiplexing unit 217 is assigned, and outputs the signal after IFFT to the CP adding unit 219.
- the CP adding unit 219 adds the same signal as the tail part of the signal input from the IFFT unit 218 to the head of the signal as a CP.
- one frame is composed of 5 subframes (subframes 0 to 4). Further, a case where a plurality of subcarriers are equally divided into four RBs RB0 to RB3 in one subframe will be described as an example. Also, as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, 1 RB is composed of 6 subcarriers ⁇ 1 subframe.
- cell-specific RSs R0 to R3 used in both the LTE terminal and the LTE + terminal are arranged in a preset RE in the RB as shown in FIGS. Further, cell-specific RSs (R4 to R7) used only in LTE + terminals are arranged in a preset RE in RB as shown in FIG.
- an RB (FIG. 6) in which four RSs R0 to R3 are arranged is shown as 4RS as shown in FIG. 8, and an RB in which eight RSs R0 to R7 are arranged (FIG. 6). 7) is indicated as 8RS. That is, in FIG. 8, cell-specific RSs (R0 to R3) used in both LTE terminals and LTE + terminals are arranged in all RBs in one frame, whereas RSs (R4 to R7) used only in LTE + terminals. ) Is arranged only in the RB indicated by 8RS.
- base station 100 limits data signals of both LTE + terminals and LTE terminals. It is possible to assign only to the specified frequency band. For example, in subframe 0 to subframe 4 in one frame, if cell-specific RSs (R4 to R7) used only by LTE + terminals are fixedly allocated to RB0 and RB1 among RB0 to RB3, base station 100 Can assign data signals addressed to LTE terminals only to RB2 and RB3.
- cell-specific RSs (R4 to R7) used only for LTE + terminals are arranged in RBs having different frequency bands in adjacent subframes.
- R4 to R7 are arranged in RB0
- R4 to R7 are arranged in RB1
- R4 to R7 are arranged in RB2.
- R4 to R7 are arranged in RB3
- R4 to R7 are arranged in RB0.
- Arrangement section 106 arranges R4 to R7 for each corresponding RE in RB0 of subframe 0, and arranges R4 to R7 for each corresponding RE in RB1 of subframe 1, as shown in FIG. To do. The same applies to the subframes 2 to 4.
- R4 to R7 are arranged in only 5 RBs out of 20 RBs in one frame (“5 subframes of subframes 0 to 4” ⁇ “4 RBs of RB0 to 3”). That is, in 15 RBs (4RSs shown in FIG. 8) other than some RBs (8RSs shown in FIG. 8) in which R4 to R7 are arranged, only R0 to R3 receivable by the LTE terminal are transmitted. Therefore, base station 100 can assign LTE terminals to RBs (4RSs shown in FIG. 8) other than some RBs (8RSs shown in FIG. 8) in which R4 to R7 are arranged. Thereby, since the LTE terminal does not erroneously receive the RE in which R4 to R7 are arranged as a data symbol, it is possible to prevent deterioration of error rate characteristics.
- RBs (8RS shown in FIG. 8) in which R4 to R7 are arranged are arranged in RBs in different frequency regions in adjacent subframes. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 8, R4 to R7 are arranged in RB0 in subframe 0, while in subframe 1 adjacent to subframe 0, RB1 has a different frequency region from RB0. Be placed. Similarly, in subframe 2 adjacent to subframe 1, R4 to R7 are arranged in RB2 having a frequency region different from that of RB1. The same applies to the subframes 3 and 4. That is, R4 to R7 are arranged in RBs shifted in the frequency domain by 1 RB for each subframe.
- terminal 200 can perform CQI measurement and PMI estimation using 8 cell-specific RSs (R0 to R7) in any one RB of one subframe, and four consecutive sub The CQI and PMI in all RB0-3 can be updated in the frame.
- Terminal 200 (LTE + terminal) then feeds back the obtained CQI and PMI to base station 100.
- the base station 100 performs adaptive MCS control based on the fed back CQI, and further transmits the transmission data using the fed back PMI.
- Terminal 200 (LTE + terminal) may feed back CQI and PMI obtained in each subframe to the base station for each subframe.
- terminal 200 (LTE + terminal) can reduce the amount of feedback per subframe, and can feed back new CQI and PMI, that is, accurate CQI and PMI for each RB. Further, terminal 200 (LTE + terminal) may obtain CQI and PMI of RB0 to RB3 and then feed back CQI and PMI to the base station at a time.
- base station 100 uses terminal specific RS for data demodulation (R4 multiplied by terminal specific weight). To R7) are arranged in the RB to which the data is allocated and transmitted. That is, by using the terminal-specific RS, the base station 100 can allocate a data signal addressed to the LTE + terminal not only in the RB (8RS shown in FIG. 8) in which R4 to R7 are arranged, but also in any RB0 to RB3. it can. Therefore, in the base station 100, there is no restriction on the scheduler when assigning LTE + terminals, so that the frequency scheduling effect can be improved.
- the RB to which the terminal-specific RS is transmitted varies depending on which RB the base station 100 assigns to the LTE + terminal. Since each LTE + terminal reports only the RB assigned to the own terminal from the base station 100, each LTE + terminal Only the terminal-specific RS of the RB assigned to the own terminal knows the existence. That is, other LTE + terminals cannot perform CQI measurement and PMI estimation using the terminal-specific RS. However, in this arrangement method, since the cell-specific RS is transmitted to any one RB for each subframe, other LTE + terminals can perform CQI measurement and PMI estimation without knowing the terminal-specific RS. .
- cell-specific RSs used only in LTE + terminals are arranged only in some RBs among a plurality of RBs in one frame.
- the base station can allocate a data signal addressed to the LTE terminal in an RB other than the RB in which the cell-specific RS used only in the LTE + terminal is arranged. Therefore, since the LTE terminal does not erroneously receive the cell-specific RS used only by the LTE + terminal as a data signal, it is possible to prevent the error rate characteristic from being deteriorated. Therefore, in this arrangement method, it is possible to prevent the throughput of the LTE terminal from deteriorating even when the LTE terminal and the LTE + terminal coexist.
- the base station arranges the terminal-specific RS in the RB. As a result, the base station can allocate the data signal addressed to the LTE + terminal in all the RBs, thereby improving the frequency scheduling effect.
- cell-specific RSs used only for LTE + terminals are arranged in RBs in different frequency regions in adjacent subframes, and arranged in RBs shifted by 1 RB for each subframe.
- the LTE + terminal can reliably receive the cell-specific RS over a plurality of consecutive subframes even in the RB to which the data signal of the own device is not assigned. Therefore, the LTE + terminal can accurately perform CQI measurement and PMI estimation in all frequency bands.
- positioning method may use the arrangement
- one base station may use the arrangement pattern shown in FIG. 8, while the other base station may use the arrangement pattern shown in FIG.
- R4 to R7 are arranged in RB0, 1, 2, 3, 0 in the order of subframes 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4, whereas in the arrangement pattern shown in FIG. R4 to R7 are arranged in RB0, 2, 1, 3, 0 in the order of subframes 0, 1, 2, 3, 4. That is, in the arrangement pattern shown in FIG.
- R4 to R7 are arranged in a part of RBs shifted in the frequency domain by a plurality of RBs (here, 2RBs) for each subframe in one frame.
- one base station may use the arrangement pattern shown in FIG. 8, while the other base station may use the arrangement pattern shown in FIG.
- R4 to R7 are arranged in RB1, 2, 3, 0, 1 in the order of subframes 0, 1, 2, 3, 4. That is, in the arrangement pattern shown in FIG. 8, R4 to R7 are arranged in RB shifted by 1 RB from RB0 in subframe 0, whereas in the arrangement pattern shown in FIG. 10, R4 to R7 are in subframe 0.
- the cell-specific RS is transmitted to all terminals in the cell, the cell-specific RS is transmitted with transmission power larger than that of a data symbol. That is, since the terminal located at the cell boundary receives not only the cell-specific RS from the cell to which the device belongs, but also the cell-specific RS from the adjacent cell, the inter-cell interference of the cell-specific RS increases. However, as described above, since the inter-cell interference of the cell-specific RS can be reduced by using the arrangement pattern having different time domain and frequency domain for each cell, the accuracy of CQI measurement and PMI estimation at each terminal is improved. improves.
- arrangement method 2 (FIG. 11)>
- cell-specific RSs used only in LTE + terminals in the same subframe are arranged in 1 RB
- cell-specific RSs used only in LTE + terminals are arranged in a plurality of RBs in the same subframe. To do.
- the channel quality fluctuation between the base station and the terminal becomes slow.
- the moving speed of the terminal is higher, the channel quality fluctuation between the base station and the terminal becomes severe. That is, when the moving speed of the terminal is higher, the channel quality varies greatly from subframe to subframe. Therefore, when the terminal moving speed is higher, if the RS obtained in the previous subframe by a long time interval is used, the current channel quality cannot be accurately reflected, so the accuracy of CQI measurement and PMI estimation Will deteriorate.
- cell-specific RSs (R4 to R7) used only by LTE + terminals are arranged in a plurality of RBs in the same subframe.
- R4 to R7 are arranged in RB0 and RB1
- R4 to R7 are arranged in RB2 and RB3, and in subframe 2
- R4 ⁇ R7 are arranged in RB0 and RB1
- R4 to R7 are arranged in RB2 and RB3
- R4 to R7 are arranged in RB0 and RB1.
- setting section 105 (FIG. 4) of base station 100 uses 2 RBs of RB0 and RB1 in subframe 0 as RBs in which cell-specific RSs (R4 to R7) used only in LTE + terminals are arranged.
- 2 RBs of RB2 and RB3 are set. The same applies to the subframes 2 to 4.
- arrangement section 106 arranges R4 to R7 for each corresponding RE in RB0 of subframe 0 and each corresponding RE in RB1 as shown in FIG. R4 to R7 are arranged in each RE corresponding to each RE and RB3. The same applies to the subframes 2 to 4.
- R4 to R7 are arranged in 10 RBs out of 20 RBs in one frame. That is, in 10 RBs (4RSs shown in FIG. 11) other than some RBs (8RSs shown in FIG. 11) in which R4 to R7 are arranged, only R0 to R3 receivable by the LTE terminal are transmitted. Therefore, the LTE terminal can prevent the error rate characteristics from being deteriorated in the same manner as the placement method 1 (FIG. 8).
- terminal 200 in arrangement method 1 (FIG. 8), terminal 200 (LTE + terminal) can receive cell specific RSs (R0 to R7) of all RBs in 4 subframes, whereas in FIG. (LTE + terminal) can receive cell specific RSs (R0 to R7) of all RBs in two subframes.
- terminal 200 (LTE + terminal) in arrangement method 1 (FIG. 8), terminal 200 (LTE + terminal) can receive R4 to R7 every four subframes in the same RB, whereas in FIG. 11, terminal 200 (LTE + terminal) Terminal) can receive R4 to R7 every two subframes in the same RB. That is, terminal 200 (LTE + terminal) can receive new R4 to R7 at shorter subframe intervals than arrangement method 1.
- the channel quality in all RBs can be updated at shorter subframe intervals than in arrangement method 1. For this reason, even when the moving speed of the terminal 200 (LTE + terminal) is high, the channel quality measured using the cell-specific RS of the subframe whose reception time is newer can be used, so the terminal 200 can perform CQI measurement. And the accuracy of PMI estimation can be improved.
- the arrangement pattern shown in FIG. 12 may be used instead of the arrangement pattern shown in FIG. That is, in the same subframe, cell-specific RSs (R4 to R7) used only for LTE + terminals may be arranged in a plurality of non-contiguous RBs in the frequency domain.
- R4 to R7 are arranged in RB0 and RB2 that is discontinuous in the frequency domain with RB0, and in subframe 1, R4 to R7 are arranged in RB1 and , RB1 and RB3 discontinuous in the frequency domain.
- R4 to R7 are arranged in RB1 and , RB1 and RB3 discontinuous in the frequency domain. The same applies to the subframes 2 to 4.
- base station 100 can allocate RBs addressed to LTE terminals. (4RS shown in FIG. 12) is also discontinuous in the frequency domain. Therefore, even when the frequency selectivity is slow, the base station 100 can allocate RBs distributed in the frequency domain to LTE terminals. As a result, it is possible to prevent the base station 100 from continuously assigning LTE terminals to RBs with poor reception quality, so that the frequency scheduling effect can be improved.
- cell-specific RSs used only in LTE + terminals are arranged in a plurality of partial RBs in the same subframe. Thereby, the same effect as the arrangement method 1 can be obtained. Also, according to this arrangement method, even when there is an LTE + terminal having a high moving speed, the LTE + terminal performs CQI measurement using an RS received in a newer subframe, that is, an RS reflecting the current channel quality. And PMI estimation can be performed.
- base station 100 may switch between the arrangement pattern shown in FIG. 11 and the arrangement pattern shown in FIG. 12 according to the state of the propagation path in the cell (frequency selectivity). That is, setting section 105 of base station 100 may switch the frequency intervals of a plurality of RBs in the same subframe in which R4 to R7 are arranged according to the state of the propagation path in the cell. Thereby, since the base station 100 can perform scheduling suitable for the situation of the propagation path, the frequency scheduling effect can be further improved.
- the moving speed of the terminal when the moving speed of the terminal is low, the channel quality fluctuation between the base station and the terminal becomes slow. Therefore, when the moving speed of the terminal is low, the accuracy of CQI measurement and PMI estimation can be achieved even if the channel quality obtained using the RS obtained in the previous subframe by a long time interval is used as the current channel quality. Does not deteriorate. Therefore, when the moving speed of the terminal is low, the cell-specific RS used only by the LTE + terminal for each subframe does not need to be arranged in the RB as in the arrangement method 1 (FIG. 8).
- cell-specific RSs (R4 to R7) used only for LTE + terminals are arranged in some RBs at a predetermined subframe interval.
- the predetermined subframe interval is 2 subframes. Further, in the same manner as in Arrangement Method 2 (FIG. 12), cell specific RSs (R4 to R7) used only in LTE + terminals are arranged in a plurality of non-contiguous RBs in the frequency domain in the same subframe.
- R4 to R7 are arranged in RB0 and RB2, and in subframe 2 at intervals of 2 subframes from subframe 0, R4 to R7 are assigned to RB1 and RB3.
- R4 to R7 are arranged in RB0 and RB2 in subframe 4 which is arranged and is at an interval of two subframes from subframe 2.
- setting section 105 (FIG. 4) of base station 100 uses 2 RBs of RB0 and RB2 in subframe 0 as RBs in which cell-specific RSs (R4 to R7) used only in LTE + terminals are arranged.
- R4 to R7 cell-specific RSs
- subframe 2 2 RBs of RB1 and RB3 are set, and in subframe 4, 2 RBs of RB0 and RB2 are set.
- setting section 105 does not set RBs in which R4 to R7 are arranged in subframe 1 and subframe 3.
- arrangement section 106 arranges R4 to R7 for each corresponding RE in RB0 of subframe 0 and each corresponding RE in RB2 as shown in FIG. R4 to R7 are arranged in the corresponding REs in each RE and RB3, and R4 to R7 are arranged in the corresponding REs in RB0 and RB2 in the subframe 4, respectively.
- R4 to R7 are arranged only in 6RBs out of 20 RBs in one frame. That is, in 14 RBs (4RSs shown in FIG. 13) other than some RBs (8RSs shown in FIG. 13) in which R4 to R7 are arranged, only R0 to R3 that can be received by the LTE terminal are transmitted. Therefore, the LTE terminal can prevent the error rate characteristics from being deteriorated in the same manner as the placement method 1 (FIG. 8).
- cell-specific RSs used only in LTE + terminals are arranged in some RBs at a predetermined subframe interval.
- the number of cell-specific RSs used only in the LTE + terminal in one frame can be reduced, and the number of RBs to which data signals addressed to the LTE terminal are allocated is increased. be able to. Therefore, according to this arrangement method, even when LTE terminals and LTE + terminals coexist, RBs to be allocated to LTE terminals can be secured to the maximum, so that the throughput of LTE terminals deteriorates as in arrangement method 1. Can be prevented.
- the predetermined subframe interval is set to 2 subframes, but the predetermined subframe interval is not limited to 2 subframes.
- the base station 100 may set a predetermined subframe interval according to the LTE + terminal moving speed. Specifically, the base station 100 may increase the predetermined subframe interval because the channel quality changes more slowly as the movement speed of the LTE + terminal is lower.
- the base station eliminates scheduling restrictions for RBs to which LTE + terminals are allocated, and the number of RBs to which LTE terminals are allocated increases, so that frequency scheduling is performed for more frequency bands. It can be performed.
- the placement method 1 can reduce the number of RBs in which cell-specific RSs (R4 to R7) used only in LTE + terminals are placed, compared to the placement method 2, while the placement method 2 is more
- the base station can transmit the cell-specific RSs (R4 to R7) in all RBs at a subframe interval shorter than the arrangement method 1. That is, the allocation method 1 can secure a larger number of RBs in one frame to which the LTE terminal is allocated than the allocation method 2, while the allocation method 2 allows the LTE + terminal to be used in all frequency regions than the allocation method 1.
- the interval between subframes in which the channel quality can be updated can be further shortened.
- the allocation method 3 can secure more RBs in one frame to which LTE terminals are allocated than the allocation method 2, while the allocation method 2 has the LTE + terminals in all frequency regions than the allocation method 3.
- the interval of subframes in which the channel quality can be updated can be shortened.
- allocation method 1 allocation method 3 and allocation method 2
- setting section 105 switches between placement method 1 (placement method 3) and placement method 2 of Embodiment 1 according to the cell environment, and cell-specific RSs (R4 to R7). RB to be placed is set.
- ⁇ Switching method 1> In this switching method, the arrangement method is switched according to the number of LTE terminals in the cell.
- base station 100 (FIG. 4) allocates LTE + terminals even in RBs other than RBs in which cell-specific RSs (R4 to R7) are arranged by arranging R4 to R7 that are terminal-specific RSs. Can do.
- base station 100 can assign LTE terminals only to RBs other than RBs in which cell-specific RSs (R4 to R7) are arranged. Therefore, the base station 100 needs to secure more RBs that can be allocated to the LTE terminal, that is, more RBs other than the RB in which the cell-specific RS used only for the LTE + terminal is allocated, as the number of LTE terminals is larger. In other words, the base station 100 needs to reduce the number of RBs in which cell-specific RSs used only for LTE + terminals are arranged, as the number of LTE terminals increases.
- base station 100 can secure more RBs in which cell-specific RSs used only for LTE + terminals are arranged. Thereby, since terminal 200 (FIG. 5) can receive the cell-specific RS used only by the LTE + terminal with more RBs, the frequency scheduling effect of the LTE + terminal is improved.
- setting section 105 sets RBs for arranging R4 to R7 using arrangement method 1 (arrangement method 3) when the number of LTE terminals is large, and uses arrangement method 2 when the number of LTE terminals is small.
- the setting unit 105 switches the arrangement method by comparing the number of LTE terminals with a preset threshold value. That is, setting section 105 switches to arrangement method 1 (arrangement method 3) when the number of LTE terminals is greater than or equal to the threshold, and switches to arrangement method 2 when the number of LTE terminals is less than the threshold. That is, setting section 105 changes the number of cell-specific RSs used only in LTE + terminals, according to the number of LTE terminals in the cell.
- the base station 100 uses the arrangement method 1 (arrangement method 3) to arrange the cell-specific RSs used only in the LTE + terminals in some RBs while maintaining the LTE.
- the maximum number of RBs to which terminals can be allocated can be ensured.
- base station 100 uses arrangement method 2 to allocate cell-specific RSs used only for LTE + terminals while securing RBs to which LTE terminals can be allocated. RB can be secured to the maximum.
- the base station switches to an arrangement method that gives priority to RBs to which LTE terminals can be allocated.
- the base station obtains the frequency scheduling effect with priority by shortening the interval between subframes in which the LTE + terminal can receive the cell-specific RS in all frequency bands. Switch to the placement method.
- the frequency scheduling effect in the LTE + terminals it is possible to obtain the frequency scheduling effect in the LTE + terminals while securing the RB to which the LTE terminals are allocated.
- ⁇ Switching method 2> the arrangement method is switched according to the moving speed of the LTE + terminal in the cell.
- the channel quality varies more rapidly as the LTE + terminal moves faster, so that the terminal 200 can perform CQI measurement and PMI estimation without degrading accuracy, that is, a shorter time interval, that is, It is necessary to update the channel quality of each RB at shorter subframe intervals.
- the terminal 200 since the channel quality changes more slowly as the moving speed of the LTE + terminal is slower, the terminal 200 does not deteriorate the accuracy even if the channel quality of each RB is updated at a long time interval, that is, a long subframe interval. CQI measurement and PMI estimation can be performed.
- the setting unit 105 sets RBs in which R4 to R7 are arranged using the arrangement method 1 (arrangement method 3) when the movement speed of the LTE + terminal is low, and the arrangement method 2 when the movement speed of the LTE + terminal is high. Is used to set RBs for arranging R4 to R7. Specifically, the setting unit 105 switches the arrangement method by comparing the movement speed of the LTE + terminal with a preset threshold value. That is, setting section 105 switches to arrangement method 1 (arrangement method 3) when there is only an LTE + terminal whose movement speed is equal to or less than the threshold, and switches to arrangement method 2 when there is an LTE + terminal whose movement speed is greater than the threshold. That is, setting section 105 changes the interval between subframes in which cell-specific RSs used only for LTE + terminals are arranged according to the moving speed of LTE + terminals.
- the base station 100 uses the arrangement method 1 (arrangement method 3) to minimize the RB for arranging the cell-specific RS used only for the LTE + terminal.
- the base station 100 arranges cell-specific RSs that are used only by the LTE + terminal while securing the RB to which the LTE terminal can be allocated by using the arrangement method 2.
- RB can be secured as much as possible.
- the base station when the movement speed of the LTE + terminal in the cell is slow, switches to an arrangement method that gives priority to the RB to which the LTE terminal can be allocated.
- the base station when the movement speed of the LTE + terminal in the cell is fast, the base station gives priority to the frequency scheduling effect by shortening the interval between subframes in which the LTE + terminal can receive the cell-specific RS in all frequency bands. Switch to the resulting placement method. Thereby, regardless of the movement speed of the LTE + terminal in the cell, the frequency diversity effect in the LTE + terminal can be obtained while securing the RB to which the LTE terminal is allocated, as in the switching method 1.
- the arrangement method of the cell-specific RS used only by the LTE + terminal is switched according to the cell environment, so that the maximum RB to which the LTE terminal can be allocated is secured according to the cell environment.

- arrangement patterns 1 to 3 are shared between base station 100 and terminal 200. Thereby, the base station 100 can switch the arrangement pattern according to the cell environment without notifying the terminal 200 of the arrangement pattern every time the arrangement pattern is switched. Also, the base station 100 may individually notify the LTE + terminal of information indicating that the arrangement pattern has been switched using RRC (Radio Resource Control) signaling.
- RRC Radio Resource Control
- the transmission power of the cell-specific RSs (R4 to R7) used only in the LTE + terminal is the cell-specific RS (R0 to R7) used in both the LTE terminal and the LTE + terminal.
- R3 may be smaller than the transmission power. It is assumed that terminals (LTE terminals and LTE + terminals) that receive signals transmitted by the base station using four antennas are located in the entire cell.
