Abstract
Se describe un método para convertir óxidos de nitrógeno, en una corriente de gas, a nitrógeno que comprende poner en contacto los óxidos de nitrógeno con un agente reductor nitrogenoso en presencia de un catalizador de metal de base diferente de zeolita que consiste de: (a) por lo menos un metal de transición dispersado sobre un óxido mixto u óxido compuesto o una mezcla de los mismos como material de soporte que consiste de cerio y circonio; o (b) óxido de cerio y óxido de circonio como los óxidos únicos ,o una mezcla de los óxidos únicos y el óxido compuesto dispersado sobre un material de soporte de óxido inerte, sobre el cual se dispersa por lo menos un metal de transición.
