Abstract

La invención se refiere a un método para el tratamiento enzimático de materia prima polimérica sin procesar que comprende los siguientes pasos: (a) preferiblemente la separación de componentes solubles de la materia prima polimérica sin procesar, (b) el tratamiento de la materia prima polimérica sin procesar con un sistema de enzimas a fin de liberar bloques de construcción monoméricos u oligoméricos solubles de la materia prima polimérica sin procesar insoluble; y (c) la separación de los bloques de construcción monoméricos u oligoméricos definidos que se produjeron en el paso (b) del resto de la materia prima polimérica sin procesar. Preferiblemente, el sistema de enzimas utilizado en el paso (b) contiene no más de 50%, preferiblemente no más de 20%, más preferiblemente no mas de 10%, más preferiblemente no más de 5%, más preferiblemente no más de 2%, más preferiblemente no más de 1% de otras actividades enzimáticas además de la actividad enzimática que da por resultado la liberación de los bloques de construcción monoméricos u oligoméricos definidos de la materia prima polimérica sin procesar de acuerdo con el paso (b). Los aspectos adicionales de la invención se refieren al uso de sistemas de enzimas "menos puros" y de esta manera menos costosos en pasos subsecuentes de tratamiento enzimático y a métodos para determinar la secuencia óptima de los pasos de tratamiento enzimático por medio del análisis de la materia prima polimérica sin procesar utilizada.
