Abstract
Un receptor de conversión de frecuencia comprende un mezclador pasivo, un Amplificador de Bajo Nivel de Ruido (LNA) y un balún. El amplificador de bajo nivel de ruido genera una señal asimétrica amplificada en respuesta a una señal de entrada del receptor asimétrico. El mezclador pasivo genera una señal de salida del mezclador en respuesta a una señal de entrada del mezclador diferencial y una señal del oscilador local de cuatro fases. El balún transforma la señal asimétrica amplificada en la señal de entrada del mezclador diferencial, el balún que tiene un primer devanado acoplado a una salda del amplificador de bajo nivel de ruido y un segundo devanado acoplado a una entrada del mezclador pasivo, el segundo devanado que tiene más espiras que el primer devanado. El índice de rotación del segundo devanado para el primer devanado proporciona compensación de ganancia al amplificador de bajo nivel de ruido, y junto con el amplificador de bajo nivel de ruido y el mezclador pasivo, proporciona una ganancia deseada receptor y linealidad sobre un intervalo dinámico de la señal de entrada del receptor.
